Chatter that Matters: Podcast Review

September 21, 2020

The Chatter that Matters podcast is definitely a breath of fresh air in the business and entrepreneurship category. My favourite thing about this podcast comes down to how the host Tony Chapman actually takes actionable steps to help the small businesses that he features on his show. We see so many podcasts right now that simply interview small business owners, asking them questions about their challenges or roadblocks but there’s very little for them or listeners to tangibly take away from the conversation. This is where Chatter That Matters sets itself apart by actually investigating what the small business owners need advice on and using their network, Tony brings in experts to answer their most pressing questions or share thoughts on the small business.

As a listener, you are guided along a journey that starts with learning about the small business and how it got started. After this you hear from various experts to give advice and opinions around the business, along with the business owner’s thoughts and perspective on what the experts had to say. Because of this unique format, the listener is constantly engaged and curious about what small business owner they will be learning about, which experts will be brought onto the episode, what they will have to say about the small business owner, and then back to the small business owner's reaction.

Chatter that Matters is authentic, real, and you can feel the passion that Tony has talking to each and every business owner that he has on his show. Not to mention that Tony as a host makes himself feel relatable and his warm personality truly shines throughout this series.
