Pardon My Take (created by Barstool Sports) is a comedic sports podcast released three times per week. There are two hosts, Big Cat and PFT Commenter, and in each episode they dive into the latest stories and news in the sports world. They’ll recap games, share their opinions, and predict how they think future games will go.
The two hosts have great chemistry and are super easy to listen to. They can jump off of one another to bridge thoughts or go into another discussion. Pardon My Take is an incredibly relaxed series, there’s no clear structure to the episodes but that’s what a lot of sports podcast audiences are looking for. The episodes tend to go over two hours which can be a lot to get through as a listener. Although it’s interesting to hear the raw conversations between the hosts (and it does really add to the comedic side of the podcast), two hours is a long time to be tuning in for, especially when there are 3 episodes per week. But this isn’t out of the ordinary when it comes to sport commentating podcasts.
If sports are your jam and you’re looking to stay updated on the latest stories, games and hear opinions and predictions in a comedic way, I definitely recommend checking out Pardon My Take.
